View Elevation Angle

While playing BA, I can change the azimuth angle, left and right, but there doesn't seem to be an elevation angle control? Is this true or am I overlooking it. It would be very useful to be able to change elevation angle to get a broader look to the "horizon" over a battlefield.

Pretty sure it's fixed, read something about 30 degrees somewhere. Could be wrong though, I'm new here.

The game isn't designed for a lower view (both from a performance point of view, and the construction of the objects and units).

However! You can use SHIFT+3 to switch to a lower view, although bear in mind this is basically a "for fun" view, and the game isn't designed to work easily in this mode. You can also tinker with the DATA\MAPVIEW.TXT file. There are more details on this in the Manual Additions thread: viewtopic.php?f=87&t=19482

Are talking about PC no?, in Mac SHIFT 3 don't seems to do nothing.

It's got the same code in there, but perhaps the Mac is trying to send the actual symbol from the key, which wouldn't be super-userful given localisation issues. I will check it out and add an alternative key if that is the case.

I have changed my view since day one in the "MAPVIEW" text file to change my view to 30 degrees.

ZOOMLIMIT 500
ROTATE 30
FOV 30
