Hotseat - Replay Opponent's Turn

Hello Gents,

A fair way back (and I mean upon the game's release) I posted about the lack of 'replay opponent's turn' in Hotseat Multiplayer.

I was informed by one of the lads on this forum that the option is being 'looked into'.
I wanted to recommend this game but this was a deal breaker for my wargaming friends...

Has there been any further word on this option?
Will it eventually be implemented?
Will it ever see the light of day?
