Game Freezes

Just purchased the game and while playing scenarios the game freezes usually by the second turn. This has happend while trying to play the Kursk, Stalingrad, Moscow scenarios so far and it happens every time. I have been forced to save the game after almost every battle just to continue with the scenario which is quite a bother. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi.
Please could you rename the "Audio" subfolder to "_Audio". Run the game and check if it freezes.
It will run without sound, but we need to check if the issue is caused by broken audio codecs.

OK I had no problem playing 2 full scenarios without the sound, so it has to be the sound that is locking up. I am using K-Lite Codec 8.4 Basic

Some k-lite versions seem to broken Windows MCI, which is the API the game use play sound.
It seems that some old versions before 8, like 7.9 were alright.
If you don't find one, tell me, because I might have it anywhere and I can upload it.

THanks, I loaded 7.9 and it seems to work fine
