Churchlakecity's Unit Icon Workshop

Post by flakfernrohr »

Some of you are aware of this link on the DMP forum but perhaps some of you are not. A member of DMP Forum, churchlakecity, has kindly given me permission to post a link to his icon and skinning workshop. There are a lot of excellent icons and skins in this workshop. If you go to it, take your time and explore the different areas or you might miss some of the icons. He does prototypical German skins of actual armor and he does what I call "blanket" skinning of all the icons in a camouflage pattern. There are five in different camouflage patterns and one in all black for those guys who cannot get enough of the use of black colors in Panzer Corps. Gotta admit, a black Panther and black Panzerjager IV L70 look pretty sinister. :)

Enjoy yourself more when you add those actual Kursk tank skins to the DLC 43 Kursk scenarios!

@Churchlakecity

Herzlich willkommen :)

Your units with all the different skins are difficult to chose from. They all look great. I feel like my wife looking for new shoes or a handbag :lol:

Churchy, EVERYONE is welcome here. There is no discrimination against nationalities that I am aware of unless perhaps someone came from Nigeria to ask members to open a bank account. You will find some great mods and tweaks here. These guys know the game inside, sideways, upside down and right side up.

I really didn't know that Germans were not welcome in some forums because a great deal of the really excellent modding for war games comes out of Germany in my experience. Blitzkreig, COH & TOV, TOW, Silent Hunter, IL2, Panzer Commander, Panzer Killer, Panzer Elite, Combat Mission, Panzers, just to name a few I have come across in the past years. I myself have bought every ad on for IL2 that I could find in Europe that was done by a great team in Germany. You could not buy them in the US (some sort of legal wrangling BS, nothing political), so I got a friend in Finland to accept delivery and send them to me in the USA! So bring it on, bring your DMP friends, we have some participate with us already. I have found the DMP forum just as friendly and helpful as this one even though I only speak about half a dozen words in German! I love both places. I wish we had all of your Smilies as options here.! :D

My dear flakfernrohr, it's really better if you write in english as you use your (fucking) translator. In english i can understand what you write and with the translator it's a riddle.

Interesting.
I'm probably one of the few, that think a lot of the von Paulus ordeals. Though decisions he had to take, where the words duty, loyalty and honor, must have came a lot to his mind.
I might not agree with all his military or non military decisions, but how hard was his position. Yeah, I think a lot on him.

They look great. :)
It's time you created your own thread here.
Maybe you could called as Churchlakecity's Workshop. I would add that thread to the sticky MODS. :)
