If you could choose to have an Initiative +3 or Attack +3 hero bonus for a tank, what would you choose and why?
I'm thinking Initiative might be pretty valuable because it applies after any intiative cap due to weather or terrain.
Tank hero bonus.

Re: Tank hero bonus.
I prefer initiative over attack, you have a much higher change to shoot first and reduce your losses, of course +attack give more change to inflict kills.
I'd rather have my own units at full strength/overstrength and use some more attacks to kill the defending unit without incurring high losses myself.

Re: Tank hero bonus.
For a tank, especially a German tank who normally has great initiative, I'd want +attack. For pretty much every other class, except artillery and bombers, I'd want +init instead.
Re: Tank hero bonus.
Kerensky, do you think that a +3 or even a +2 Initiative after terrain cap would help negate the weakness of tanks, casualties in rough terrain or weather? If so, then for realism +Attack might be more desirable because it would be about equivalent to being upgunned or using special ammunition, whereas no improved turret, sighting system, or extra close quarter machine gun will reduce the enemy ability to exploit your weakspots. Mabybe a Gatling Gun...
Re: Tank hero bonus.
Any thought to a possible scenario or victory bonus where the player could choose which bonus it wanted, and to what unit it wanted to bestow the bonus upon?Kerensky wrote:For a tank, especially a German tank who normally has great initiative, I'd want +attack. Re: Tank hero bonus.
I set the parameters to issue heros at definite kill counts. I keep track of kills and start saving when I get close. Load, kill, repeat. Sometimes it really sucks, but worth it to shape my core in the most efficient way. I'll plan ahead what is to be upgraded to what, since upgrading out of class eats up so much prestige, and name my units according to their heros to more easily coordinate attack and defense that takes advantage of particular bonuses.
I still think there's a way to go in and edit your savecore code and change what heros you have, but can't understand Greek.
Ideally, being able to choose and upgrade RPG-style would be the best. They could really go off on that if they wanted to. Lots of possibilites if they gave the game a little more depth.
Panzer Corps II....?
