There has been no official release date announced yet, we hope to do that soon.

Well if it's taking this long it might as well be renamed Commander Forever, if you know what I mean.
In spite of the Final Fantasy character it's pronounced sao-win after the Irish pagan god of death. I'm not a pagan but we're on a wargames website so I thought it fitting.

The game is in beta testing but we want to make sure it plays really well so will hold it back and tweak it as long as necessary to get the right balance and playability we're looking for. I know it can be frustrating when you cant see what is going on but the team are working hard to get this game finished as soon as possible. We just dont want to release it before its ready.

I'm sure it's not easy keeping deadlines as a small dev studio. At least with Panzer Korps you have shown that you can release 99.9 % bug free versions of your game on release. I hope it will be the same for Great War!
Still, I wouldn't mind a bit more info now that you're nearing release.. and a few new screenshots, the ones on the current website surely are a bit outdated?

We will restart game advertisement once we're certain we can actualy set & meet a final deadline. After messing up so badly the previous time we really want to do it right the next!

I believe in mid-May Diablo III is to be released. . . That's gonna be some serious competition. I hope there is a plan to counter that hype with some of your own??
Thanks,
