My sound is working fine, but it seems Panzer IA/B do not have a soundfile for their tracks/movement in 1.05?
They move completely silent for me.
Panzer I in 1.05 - no movement sound

Hmmm. I just tried a Pz I and II in 1.05 and both sounded their usual crappy selves. According to my efx.pzdat file the Pz I uses tracked_light(1-3) and the Pz II uses tracked_medium(1-3) wav files in the Audio\MoveSfx folder. Maybe check they are there and if you can play them independently of PzC. Beyond that I can't help. Good luck.
Longasc, I don't have an explanation for that, although there must be one.
The vanilla sounds tracked_light, tracked medium and heavy tracked are repeated all over in a lot of units.
He would notice in a lot of equipment an not only PZI and PZ II.
You could try to use my sound mod just to see if the problems persists.

I'm most curious about this issue.

I found the reason for the issue and fixed it - but I can't explain it either as all other units using the "light" tank movement sound worked... makes no sense.
K-Lite Codec Pack
-> removed it and tada, the Panzer I movement sounds as intended.
I recently reinstalled the latest version to watch some Star Trek episodes in Windows Media Player.
I really hate those Codec packs. K-Lite is supposedly one of the better ones, might try Windows Codec Essentials or whatever the name was.
Actually I don't intend to install any Codec pack as long as I don't immediately need it!
(Had some issues due to K-Lite with Fallout III from Bethesda as well till one or the other fixed something)

It seems 8.20 it's not working.
But 8.00 was working for most people.
If you don't want to install codecs, and need a video player that reads most of the video formats, you can try VideoLAN.
