Discrepancy in K5 280mm Artillery 'Gustav'

While playing the last scenario USA West Coast, I noticed discrepancies between the auxiliary K5 280mm 'Gustav' assigned to me at the start of the scenario and a Gustav upgraded from a core 210cm Mrs18. The auxiliary Gustav had 105XP compared to the core Gustav's 215XP. No awards or heroes for the auxiliary compared to the core Gustav's Iron Cross 1st Class and Defence+1 battle trait. The differences between the unit stats listed below:

Aux Core
Range: 6 4
Soft Attack: 80 24
Hard Attack: 70 14
Naval Attack: 20 4
Grd Defence: 25 18
Air Defence: 20 14

Anyone have any ideas why the vast difference in the unit stats? Thanks in advance.

There are two different German rail guns units (they share the same unit icon though!).
