Australian FoG Championship Cancon 2012

Post by rossco »

Hi folks.

The Australian national championships for FoG ancients and FoG renaissance will be held at Cancon on Friday 27 to Sunday 29 January.

Full details for both tournaments can be found in the Cancon 2012 online entry page at the Canberra Games Society website:
http://www.cgs.asn.au/index.php/cancon .

There are also evening FoG games for the gamers who want maximum table hours.

Regards,
Ross Dawe.

Interesting format
6 rounds, 2 per day, Looks like long time frame so should have lots of armies are going to break.
650 points
5x3 tables

Rumours abound that there was a blackwash at this event!

Although I don't have the statistics, my observation was that the vast majority of games involving players in the top half of the table were resolved within 2.5 hours with one army breaking. There were still a number of much slower games (generally in the bottom half of the table) that timed out with a draw at 3.5 hours. This probably reflects the point that some folk simply play much slower and are going to get draws whether they use 800 points or 650 points.
