fiambre DLC 41 - easy mode ended.

Post by fiambre »

Salute all.

I just ended the first round of the campaign on the easy mode.

Rolled the enemy on every of the maps big way, which think its positive as it was the easiest mode.

Not sure if it would be possible, but would be good to have a chart, with saved data showing at least the information of the scenarios that a player is goign through, result on them, what was the followed path, expend and won prestige, units lost / gained, units receiving mentions, composition of the army on every scenario, etc.

It would give the players a base to know from where to where he is going and how he is doing, comparing with other games and maybe with other players (?)

As idea for units pocketed, maybe reinforcements should be disabled, and reammo made only available around the airfields. (too complex?)

I was gratefuly surprised of seen the Balcans, Greek and Creta at start :-)

If DLC campaing gonna go ahead, would recommend also give more options for the game: like not losing units (killed units appear again next scenario with 1 strenght), or not counting the turns, so some players could play in hard mode but with all the time they want to, so they can follow the campaign agaisnt all the strenght of the enemy.

Maybe also info about what means every of the difficult levels would be appreciated. Selecting field marshall can show a text below saying "you will start with x units with 1 start experience, enemy will have this and that, and IA will be aggresive plus harder units to kill...)

At least to have an impression of what you are chosing.

Overall excellent campaign :-)

This (or some version) has been requested by many people. Hopefully, it will be one that the developers are able to add in the future. For now, there is an overall casualty list that you can bring up by using the C hotkey. I put a link below with all the hotkeys.

Cheat codes are also in that link below. In it, there is one that you can use to increase the amount of turns. I believe this will work for you to play on a harder difficulty while still having the time you need to complete your objectives. I don't think they have any plans on having killed units return with 1 strength since there needs to be cost for losing a unit, but, using the cheat codes, you could approximate it. If you lose a unit, you could also use the prestige cheat to get the prestige back, then use the experience cheat to give the XP back to the unit (you won't be able to cheat back any heroes or medals, though).

Interesting feedback, I totally forgot none of the difficulty modes are actually documented what they do. I'm too used to Manstein, where it's pretty hard to miss 15 strength units all over the place. :D
There was a reason for it (leaving out documentation) a while ago, but I forget what it was. Might be something that should be brought up again.
