If 'Closed' Beta forum create one for each DLC
I am seeing guys making comments and asking questions that have been dealt with (many times, in some cases) on the Closed Beta forum for DLCs 39 and 40. Because we are 'Closed' for the 41 beta it means the 39 and 40 comments/suggestions/ideas cannot be shared with the wider community.
Can I suggest for the 42 DLC beta that a new forum be created if it is to be a 'closed' forum?
Also, can the threads that relate to the 39 and 40 DLCs be moved to the 'Open Bata' forum?

I'm not clear - what exactly is the issue that you see that eneds fixing? The beta is now for 1941, so 39 & 40 issues can be posted to the open forum. 39 & 40 issues should not be posted here. We'll only have one campaign in beta at a time except fo the initial 39/40. Lots of forums is going to cause confusion in my opnion.
I think the question is : Would it be possible to move all of the existing 39 and 40 posts from this forum to an open forum, and only keep 41 threads in the closed forum ?I'm not clear - what exactly is the issue that you see that eneds fixing? The issue is mostly that those that do not have access to this closed forum are posting questions and ideas that were already addressed in the closed forum. So there is no transfer of knowledge to the non-beta players and no way to refer them to a thread that already had the entire discussion that they want to have.iainmcneil wrote:I'm not clear - what exactly is the issue that you see that eneds fixing? So now everything needs to be repeated.

There only needs to be two, as there are now - the current beta and released DLCs. When a new closed beta is announced (e.g. DLC '42) all threads in the closed beta are moved to the open beta forum. The closed beta forum is then clear for the next beta. Repeat the process for DLC '43 etc etc.iainmcneil wrote:Lots of forums is going to cause confusion in my opinion.
If we keep going like we are all the stuff that guys have posted about previous, now released DLCs, will only be available to the beta testers when others might benefit from it.
That's precisely what I had in mind.El_Condoro wrote:There only needs to be two, as there are now - the current beta and released DLCs. … And multiple forums are not confusing; what is “confusing” is having all these double threads out there because the non-Beta players can’t see what has been already talked about.VPaulus wrote:That's precisely what I had in mind.El_Condoro wrote:There only needs to be two, as there are now - the current beta and released DLCs. Not to mention the way it is now will cause unnecessary wasted server space for the duplicated threads.

I may be missing the point but I just dont see beta testers going to an old forum to check comments there before they post. That's just not what beta testers do. They play and give feedback without reading all the existing feedback.
If the moderators can move any '39 and '40 questions to the open forum or the open beta forum that would probably do?

The benefit is not for beta testers - it's for those who aren't. The comments made by beta testers on the closed forum are not available to non-beta testers and won't be for a very long time (end of '45 testing) if things go the way they are. So with every new release the non-beta testers ask about things that the beta testers have already covered. Duplicate conversations result, which are unnecessary if the threads are moved out of the closed forum when each DLC is released. These can then be linked to by respondents.
If you give the OK to move 39 and 40 threads, I can do that - perhaps a bit at a time - into the Open Beta forum.
