experience caps

There appear to be experience caps for units in the '39 Grand Campaign. I am at the Warsaw scenario and all my tanks have 225 experience. One of them started the previous scenario with 225. I always reinforced my tanks with experienced troops because I wanted to get them to 3 bars as soon as possible. If there is an experience cap, it would be hepful to know it. I would not feel the need to spend valuable prestige for nothing. Can someone confirm the cap, or is this a bug? Maybe this is part of the original campaigns as well, but I don't recall seeing it.

The experience cap for units in DLC 1939 is 225 experience. Or a 2 Star unit.
The experience cap for units in DLC 1940 is 325 experience. Or a 3 Star unit.
