Swedish Salvo Foot

I have the option of using a Swedish ally in an Early 17th C French.

I assume the Swedes have to have at least 1/2 the foot with a regimental gun, just like the main list, and is it worth dropping a Superior French regiment to fit a Swedish brigade in along with a unit of Swedish horse ?

WEll the Swedes hit hard in impact, ++ but not so great at shooting, 1 die per 2 bases at all ranges. Guess it depends on how lucky your opponent is at killing bases from shooting, or how lucky you are at death rolls, Blathergut is notorious for rolling 5's and 6's when I hit his Swedes for 4 hits from shooting, so they remain intact at impact.

Best advice is give it a try in a friendly game and see what you think. Personally I like to try to avoid them but Blthathergut keeps threatening to ignore my FF's if I make some up and use them.
