Finally - the 6 match reports from Britcon 2011 are now completed and published on madaxeman.com.

Marvel at the skill of the Louis XIV Frenchies as they line up and advance to the sound of the guns, usually swearing violently in French as they go!

Awesome Tim - Thanks for taking the time to compose and post! Clearly the hangovers weren't so bad that you forgot to take pictures and remember what was happening!!

Look forward to the Warfare competition and reports, where my ambition is to feature in one of your "commentaries" (hopefully victoriously!!!!)

Poor as I was, I felt I was in with a chance of winning all of the games almost right up until the end of each - I could almost always see a scenario in which I dug myself out of the hole and ended up leading my infantry to victory. As a result I enjoyed having a go at winning (even though I was often failing to do so) them all.

Such a big contrast to FoG:AM where I often felt that winning quite a few of the games I played in each competition was going to be utterly impossible, and as a result had started to find the whole experience totally disheartening (even the games I won).

Well in a year when I've either had no time for wargaming, or have had little interest, your report has inspired me to dig out lead for painting so as to finally sort myself some FoG:R armies for next year

As your (first) victim, I can concur it was a cracking game. Your death rolls when I did 5 hits were perfect sixes every time. I found it much safer to do just one hit as you always failed those...

I also agree that in every game you feel you have a chance and interest is maintaned.

Very nice reports that do real justice to the game (snaggin' fassin' rassin' one BG of mounted winning it for you from Fragged!) and give a good sense of what it is like to play the game.

Great reports though Tim - well done. Looking forward to my first R comp at Warfare.
