Desert fox campaign

Post by enric »

On the first scenario of the Desert Fox campaign the Panzerjager I and the Panzer II unit icons have no color, they are completely white, they seems to move and act normally.

If ctrl-click the unit the display with its information has normal icon of the unit.
When selected one of these units, the info at the bottom of the screen is ok, and with a colored icon

MacOS Lion
Last version of OS and BA.

It sounds like a driver issue, or potentially a video memory shortage. Do you have any other graphical applications running?

What model of Mac are you running on?

Cheers

No, it seems an icon reference problem, because no problem with any other graphics.
How can I send you the image as you can see the problem?. It's a .jpg 139 KB

Ah - sorry. I misread your post. It's just the icons? That is very odd. I will check them out here.

Cheers

The Macbook Air has the integrated graphics and so all of the detail and colors will not show.

I had to show my friend who has your same Macbook Air compared to my MacBook Pro 15inch. I showed more detail and color than his on the same screen same orientation and such.

From my initial look, I think that the icons may be missing their mipmaps, or may be in a format that our 'official' icons are not and that OGL is doing its oddness with mipmaps (if you don't give it all the mipmaps you say, it will just pretend the texture isn't set up at all. I'm not sure why this is supposed to be useful...). I will need to dig down further to tell. It took me a minute to realise that we were talking about a user campaign, rather than the normal Desert campaign... It's been a long morning.... ;)

Tried on a MacBook Pro
Processor 2,2 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.1 (11B26)

The same happens.
It happens in every scenario of that campaign, and only on those indicated units (Panzerjager I and the Panzer II).
Is there any other campaign or scenario where these units are used?, I could try if there they are ok.

I have a jpg image that show these odds icons.

I found in Blitzkrieg France, in the first scenario, that there are some Panzer II, and their icons are ok.
So, it seems a problem specific of the Desert Fox campaign.
