Terrain selection

A question on double sized terrain pieces:

The terrain selection chart on p139 lists the terrain pieces available for each territory type. Impassible is available in several territory types, but only Mountains allows 2 pieces of impassable. It is not compulsory for any territory.

If I want to select a Large piece then this counts as 2 selections and 2 towards the maximum of that type (p140). So, if I want a Large Piece of Impassible - is this only possible if the Territory is Mountain (similar for any terrain where only 1 piece is included in the Terrain type for that item)?

Correct. no large impassable areas anywhere else. Remember that the compulsory piece can be large without counting as two selections.
