Hi! No date set yet for the release. We are currently doing beta testing, and it seems to be doing good so the game will much likely be out this year at least
We are continuously adding people to the beta testing so that we can test the game more and more. If you are registered as a beta tester here at Slitherine, there is still a good chance you might be selected during any of the upcoming batches. I believe we are adding a bunch of new players next week, so let's hope you get into it!

Thanks Xerkis, I did not look at the date Laxen made his post. I think or hoped the release date on the Slitherline site was correct. Well, 'a good game is worth waiting for.'Xerkis wrote:As Laxen said above....

I agree – but I feel like one of my kids in the back seat when we are going on a vacation… are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?VonRyan wrote:Hi Xerkis,
I am a big fan of the scope, scale and style of Squad Leader gamesSo if team assault is as good as it looks and sounds, it should be worth the wait.

Release date POSTPONED AGAIN !
This game has been postponed time after time...I remember discussions going back a year ago about release dates...do us a favor and make sure the website release date is corrected to unknown...I've asked for the Beta and no reply...now you say one day before release that there is no date of release ? Not impressed..I dont want to hear any more about this "alledged" game !

Team Assault is not released today.
We're sorry that a date had been set on Slitherine's web page. We had not noticed that, and the game was never intended to be released today. That the release has been postponed before was unfortunate, we didn't know that Slitherine wanted to do such extensive beta testing, but now when we are doing it I'm glad we did, because it really gives us time making the game better, adding a short tutorial campaign etc and dealing with bugs.
We hope most of you will also think that it was worth it once the game comes out. Thanks for your patience.

No matter how much testing you do, it is never enough. I know that all too well. But the more you do the cleaner the system. Plus, what you mention (tutorial, bugs, etc) is certainly worth the wait.
You forgot one other important thing that long Beta testing gives you… more and more fans before it is even released.
Keep up the good work and please keep the rest of us informed of how it's going.

Why are you telling them keep up the good work?
Some of you talk to these developers like theyre doing you a favor...they produce a product advertise it and get PAID ...if this was ANY other industry...delays and misinformation would be unacceptable...late product release has been the death nail of many companies...how about "No excuses...your getting paid...do the job!"
Imagine an architect showing models of a building hes been constructing for years...still not built...still behind schedule...with no date of completion after promising it for years...imagine that architect trying to convince clients to buy space in that "non-existent" building....those of you that accept this shoddy trend in game development are as responsible as the developers..its time for me to close my wallet on this "project" Ive had it open for years waiting to purchase a "concept"! I presently own over one hundred titles...this wont be one of them !
