Figure identification help

Can anyone help identify these ?

They are described as Essex medieval Russian light cavalry, but the Essex website doesn't show any such figures, so I was wondering what they are. I think there are two different makes, one of which probably is Essex.

I recognize the horses as the Essex ones. I have the same for my Carthaginian army. I can't tell about the riders, though. Maybe it is a brand that they remade.
