Beta patch available
viewtopic.php?t=27717
This is now an open beta and anyone can participate if you have the full game.

I have to admit that I'm more than a little underwhelmed with the changelog.
The (very few!) issues I have with PzC remain unaddressed.
Well, on the positive side, I do only have insignificant issues, and PzC shipped in a very presentable way.
Very polished.
I do hope you guys flex your developer muscles a little more for future patches, though.

I've encounterd a 'problem' with the beta.
I use two Syncmaster 2494 screens side by side.
I tried stretching the window from the right over the left screen, but when I tried pulling it back over to the right again, I could not see the right side of the setup, but I did see a large swath of black border from when I 'over stretched' the map.
Only when I wen to the task bar to shink/expand the window did it clear up.
FYI

I would love to see the full tweak list if you ever have a chance to post it Kerensky. Thanks for the hard work guys! A nice list of changes. Glad to hear the bugs are squashed and the option to restart the scenario is a nice one!

Pionieres now have a 3 Hard Attack, was 5.
Bruckenpionieres now have 8 Ground Defense, was 10.
PzIA/B now have 3 Soft Attack, was 1.
SdKfz 251 now have 6 Air Defense, was 4.
There may be more.
My Pioneers! How could you!rezaf wrote:
Still doesn't change the fact that they are superior to Grenadiers...
We want the PZIs to be more useful, so they have very strong soft attack ratings to reflect their MG armament.
The PzII is more general purpose than the PZ I, so it does everything a little better except for attacking soft targets. So the PZ II is arguably 'better' but it doesn't make the PZ I completely obsolete.
The 38T is just flat out better than the I and II, but it also comes as the highest cost.
So each unit has some useful purpose (Is are decent against soft targets, IIs, are better against light tanks but less effective against say an artillery piece), although there is no escaping the reality that better historical equipment comes with better in game combat performance. If you want the best though, you are going to have to pay for it at least.

Fimconte, that's a misquote - I never posted that image in this thread!
(Fimconte correctly pointed out that I posted it elsewhere, though)
As for the patch, I didn't expect new content as in new units, missions, campaigns or whatnot, but some fixes/improvements to the editor, for example, would have been nice.
Moddir support is another thing, as is the ability to run custom campaigns from within the game without replacing one of the stock campaigns.
Also, there's quite a few smallish improvements that have been discussed over the months, and often met a reply of "we'll consider adding that later" or "we're working on that".
Guess that's why you forbad Rudankort further fraternization with players on the forums, he might have been a tad too likely to give a reply along those lines.
Anyway, while other developers don't frown upon adding free content in a patch, I don't expect you to, and can totally live with you reserving such stuff for DLC/addon affairs, but I think expecting some "official" fixes to problems I hinted at above is more than reasonable.

Although I understand your "usefulness" point and appreciate the difficulty of balancing low tier units, the 3 Soft Attack of PzI seems excessive compared to the other initial Panzers models. PzI was obsolete in 1939, it was never intended to be a battle tank, more like a training and experience gathering for the german army.Kerensky wrote:We want the PZIs to be more useful, so they have very strong soft attack ratings to reflect their MG armament.
