Camouflage paint for armored units

This is probably amazingly simple to fix, but I don't seem to know how. How does one get to obtain camouflage armor in the game? I have not played campaigns yet, is this why I haven't found them? :?
Old Timer Panzer General fan. Maybe a Volksturm soldier now. Did they let Volksturm drive Panzers?

Exactly.
The camouflage unit graphics are used for elite units you receive as a reward for performing well in a mission. You can get up to three and they don't count against the unit limit.
