There have been many threads about the medals, and a complete list of all the medals possible in the game.

Is there a complete list of possible heroes and their bonuses?

If you want to see the heroes you can see their pictures in "\Panzer Corps\UI\heroes".
As for the bonuses I think that they are random. Might be wrong tough.

Where did the hero photos come from? Or were they just created and made to look authentic WWII photos?

Maybe a contest: Get your pic added into the hero's gallery?? :)

Unique named heroes with static abilities exist, but there was not time to implement them (Hartmann, Kurt, Whittman).
All the current heroes are randomly generated.
