I love PG. I remember playing the crap outta People's General when I was a kid so I bought this game when I saw the link from a gaming website somewhere. I hope this remake is as fun and easy to get into as the game I played a loooooooong time ago. Is there an in game wiki or something? I hate reading manuals

Yes the game is worth every euro/dollar/whateveryourlocalcurrencyis you paid for it.
You can probably get away without reading the manual by playing the tutorial campaign (Panzerschule). It's really enjoyable and cover 99% of what you need to know to play the game, especially if you ever played any of the General series before.

The manual, it's a 36 page item where predictably a lot of pages are wasted on predictable issues like installation and likely obvious portions.
The average person with pencil and paper can likley jot on paper the 5 or six pages relevant to their needs and then print them out if desperate to avoid the tutorials (which is the wrong route in my opinion but some will insist).
I personally suggest killing off the hour or so of playing the tutorials, and don't play them quite so desperate to never make an error, because all you are doing is mastering how to use the various units any way.
As for the game being worth it? Well that depends on your value assessments eh. Is your rent paid? Food in the fridge? will you actually miss the 40 bucks? Measured against 10 years of wargames purchases, this title is currently arguing over who's the best with the top 3 games.

While I agree it is expensive wtf does it have to do with size? Are you paying by the mb? If anything it should be connected to the time you can spend playing this game, and it's pretty good in this respect.Kexin wrote:$40 for a game weighting in south of a 500MB download. WTF!! How do you guys sleep at night? If it weren't for the addictive one-more-turn gameplay, I'll be outraged.

Besides the fun of the game someway they have to have an income that allows a no charge multi-player system. the system Slitherine uses is the best I have ever seen. The game with the multi-player option and Slitherine's comsumer friendly style with the frequently updating of games to solve game problems and the speed of response to forum queries makes it well worth while. I am happy to pay the price for this game, it isn't by any standards out of line for the service and enjoyment you get.
