Hey folks --
I just purchased the game and am trying to install it on a Windows 64bit machine. I get the following error message:
The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32bit) or x64 (64bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.
Please help! Thanks!
This error occurs when I double-click the executable to install the game.
Panzer Corps not compatible with Windows 7 64bit??

The game and installer are 32 bit applications, but W7-64 should be able to run both without any issues. Given the number of copies in the wild now, it seems unlikely that there are any general compatibility issues.
Have you tried running the installer in XP compatibility mode, and in Administrator mode (although generally installers will require that anyway).
If that doesn't work, please can you post your machine specs to see if there is anything which stands out.
Cheers

I'm now convinced it's corrupted. It was the file that was linked by Plimus when I purchased the game. I've tried the compatibility mode and have the same issue. I also tried installing this on another machine with Windows 7 64bit and got the same error message. Here are my specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
AMD Phenom 965 3.4G
4 Gigs Ram
Geforce 460 1024MG
Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
AMD Phenom 965 3.4G
4 Gigs Ram
Geforce 460 1024MG
I have just about the exact same setup except I have two 460's running in SLI. Game has installed and played with no problems. You may be right and the file is corrupted. I would re-download, as VPaulus has suggested, and try again.Knavery wrote:I'm now convinced it's corrupted. It was the file that was linked by Plimus when I purchased the game.
