Request Trainer or In-Game option to keep turns at 1

Post by shinyhalo »

I like this game, but I like to play slow not blitzkrieg.
At the same time, I want to play with new units and be able to afford them with prestige points so I need to have decisive victories.
I need some way to freeze the turns so I can play slow.
Thanks

While playing the game:

Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+C

Enter in the edit box:

Code: Select all

turns N
where N - number of turns you want to add. You can repeat this as many times as you want.

Oh my, is there any way to "lock" oneself out of this feature when you start a new campaign? Ie an ironman mode? Although i see how it can be usefull, having such a back up can be too tempting to not use, regardless on how much fortitide you might have :)

It's not easy to play "slow" wehrmacht when your main doctrine is blitzkrieg.

Sorry, there is no way to disable this feature, except joining a multiplayer game - in MP it does not work. However, the game does store a flag in saved game when it is used. In the future, if we introduce some scoring system for single player competition, games marked with this flag won't be scored and included in online rankings. But for now, it does not affect anything. ;)

Does this just add turns or keep the game on turn number 1?

This is a great--and unexpected--feature to include out of the box. Thanks very much. There are times the deadline crunch can be annoying.

Once we start tracking and scoring people based on campaign play, you should well expect "Iron man" type settings. :)
