Mods?
Sorry if this has already been answered.
Will Panzer Corps support modding? Sound, textures, etc?
I'm hoping the sound aspect will be similar to Battlefield Academy, with a simple swap of a .wav file
Thanks in adavance

Short answer, yes.
This thread has some details.:

Online multiplayer even supports mods, but this is limited to equipment files currently. Assets such as unit images and sound must be downloaded by all players separately.

I wanted to ask about modding. Let's say I wanted to make a new vehicle - say, the German Schwimmwagen. I've looked through the game files, and the 'models' are not actually 3D models, are they? They are just .png images (sorry, I say 'just', though I mean they are extremely well drawn!). Of course, we could make our own by using Photoshop or GIMP or whatnot, but can I ask what did the guys on the PC team use for this? Also, any hints or tips on how to make our own?

All vehicles are 2d rendered pictures we have taken from actual 3d models.
So you build the 3D model, texture it, than render them into your desired pose, scene, camera angle and lightning ant take a picture of your model.
So a modern approach to create a classic look. The reason why the units look so detailed as we build over 400 3D models.
As you see in the latest posted screens, just an example:

Is there anything specific in the dimensions that we need for each pic? I know each model needs four pics - two facing left and two facing right, and of each two, one is large (for zoomed in view) and one is small (for zoomed out view). We need to put them all onto a single image together - what sizes do each individual portion need to be? Just a quarter each of the 296x296 image, or are the smaller ones smaller?

Brilliant! Excellent information! Get ready for MASSES of custom armies from us all now......
My first custom skin:

German 'elite' Tiger I in dark field grey - black to come, as well as various camo skins, and winter skin.
(PS This pic was taken in the editor, as I haven't bought the game yet - waiting until this weekend).

Will there be a modding forum ?
I wanted to make the the movement dots, arrows and trucks slightly smaller. I succeeded to alter the png file to make a smaller circle with paintshop but somehow when i used it a thick white square with a small circle was displayed. I dont know how to do these sort of things

This forum may not be appropriated named, but description indicates that modding questions can go there.
As to why your modified PNGs do not work, hard to tell without looking at them.
