Blob prevention issue

Post by Schnurri »

It is March 42 - Russia has not been invaded yet. Russians are maxed out in MECH without buying any so far. I know the assumption is that a number would be killed by now but it now would cost 60.7 pp's to purchase one at this stage. Is this intended?

Ok - the strongpoint defers to the Tiger. Does cramp the Russians style however.

I agree. Build fighters, TACs, armor and more infantry corps to go with your Mechs and you should have one unstoppable force!

The one thing that I think is important as Russia is to ensure you invest in Air labs early, sure you won;t commit the units when they are weak, but you need them with good tech when you are on the advance.

One question that occurred to me earlier was why a player has to build a balanced force between mech and tanks? I understand the desire to prevent an unrealistic "blob" of mechanized forces that couldn't be built realistically and supported. But why isn't 15 mechs as easy to produce and support as say 8 mechs and 7 tanks? It seems to me a mech should be able to take the "place" of a tank unit with respect to the limits.

this unstoppable force will have more tech difference from the German's tech .Usually in May 1942 , on the base of the present 2.01.07 ,German's armor is around 9-11 , Mech is around 8-10 , FTR is around 8-10 , INF is around 8-10 ,& USSR if invest the lab in INF & Armor & Air , the armor is around 4-5 , Mech is aroung 6-7 , FTR is around 4-5 , INF is around 4-5 .(USSR must also invest lab on orgenization) it will cause high casualties of USSR during the counter attack (unless the Axis player lack of experience) .
