Decisive Victory - Campaign missions
Playing through the '39 Campaign again to help with final testing (yeah right, I'm just enjoying myself, who am I kidding?) Anyway, playing the low countries mission (Fall Gelb?) and I took all objectives on turn 17 of 25. The objective screen said I needed to 'Capture all objectives with at least 9 turns remaining' for a Decisive Victory, and yet I was awarded one upon completion of the turn, which by my count leaves only 8 turns remaining. Is this a script or text error, or are there other qualifications beyond taking the objectives to obtain a Decisive Victory, such as being utterly awesome? (as I am!)

It might be a minor point but I feel victories like these should be stated as 'Take all objectives before Turn xx'. I find myself doing math every turn (24 - 9 = ...counts fingers... 15, and it's Turn 12, so I have 3 turns to go) and it's unnecessary if the victory conditions were expressed differently.

Math can be a tricky thing. You can't just subtract the numbers because then you're not including your current turn. Count it out: 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25. See, there are nine turns remaining. It can be confusing, so I think it should point it out better like El_Condoro stated. Something like: Current Turn 17 of 25, 9 turns remaining and final turn for Decisive Victory.mllange wrote:Playing through the '39 Campaign again to help with final testing (yeah right, I'm just enjoying myself, who am I kidding?) The reason why we did not do this is that on some difficulty levels turn count is different from default, but the text should still be valid.El_Condoro wrote:It might be a minor point but I feel victories like these should be stated as 'Take all objectives before Turn xx'. I did understand this, however my confusions results from the fact that I completed the objectives during turn 17, meaning I did not have 9 turns remaining (to play at least). Once clicking 'end turn' I could only had 8 turns remaining, not 9, and the Decisive Victory message doesn't display until the beginning of the next game turn. I like El_Condoro's suggestion, or at least a clarification of the turns remaining - something.AgentX wrote:Math can be a tricky thing. Yes true, but the Computer AI still has 9 turns remaining. I believe that's what matters. You are right about it being a bit confusing. A little clarification of when you're on the final turn for a Decisive Victory would help.mllange wrote:I did understand this, however my confusions results from the fact that I completed the objectives during turn 17, meaning I did not have 9 turns remaining (to play at least).
