We are still playing around with the tutorial.
My son and I play PG3SE all the time for several years now.
We thought this would be the next version of PG after PG3SE. We might have been wrong to assume this.
Movement and combat animations are not as good as in PG3SE. No units change angle in movement or combat. Units shooting into the air not at the opponent.
Combat odds/estimation appeared to be way off/inaccurate. For example, going into one battle, odds were 3:1 in my favor, outcome ended up being 1:2 against me. No hidden artillery. Are we missing something ?
Since we are in PG3SE lala land, we were wondering where the actions like entrenchment, camouflage, wedge attack, hand to hand, flying in clouds, etc...
and also anything like unit leaders, promotions and medals ?
No unit can move multiple times( except recon so far that we found). Nor fire multiple times.
The library is very interesting, but does not seem to be complete.
The tutorial is very helpful. However, it was hard to find it at first in the opening screen. I just saw
campaigns and it was hard to distinguish from the campaigns. Only slowed me down about 30 seconds.
NO bugs after playing for 2 hours except the combat odds issue which might be a misunderstanding by us.
Great Job !!

Thanks for the feedback. The aim was to make a game that took the essence of a game like Panzer General without all the extras & baggage that detracted from the core experience. I think when you get used to it you'll really appreciate it.
Combat odds are an estimate - what will happen in average. If you fought the combat multiple times his is what would usually happen but anything can happen in reality - this is war!
Some of the features you mention as missing are deliberately not ther as we feel they upset the balance. Leaders and medals are in but you need to play a bit more to get to them.
The PBEM multiplayer part of the game is superb so try that out online.

For those who really like their statistics and combat rules:
For details check Ctrl+click to get the Extended combat log, for more unit detail and see heroes, medals and battle history, check the Unit Info menu use Alt+click to enter it.
In the course of the campaigns you will be rewarded with medal, heroes, elite/ss units and unit upgrades, depending on your performance. Weather, Entrenchment, Suppression, Ambush, Supply... there is more under the hood for those who like that kind of info.
To check you total casualties check C and for you last combat log press L.
