Serial Number

Hi, I have Commander Europe at War installed on my computer right now (purchased and downloaded) but I seem to have lost the serial number. It's not a big deal right now as it's installed and working but eventually I'll be wiping my drives and reinstalling everything (I do this every year or so). My question is, does the number reside in a file in a game folder or in a registry key somewhere I can get at it? I've looked and found some numbers but I'm not sure they are the correct ones, I'd like to be sure.

Of course you may feel free to scoff and assume I haven't legally purchased the game as I would probably do in this case.

I bought the CD and the serial number is on the Cd. Like this XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. All numbers no letters.

When I use regedit I see my serial number in the file folder:HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MATRIX GAMES/COMMANDER EUROPE AT WAR
