Franco Gibralter Bug

I am the Allies and Spain is my Ally.

Problem: I move a Brit GAR out of Gibralter, and it seems to disappear, and be replaced by a Spanish GAR that pops up in Gibralter with the silly message that Franco has occupied it.

(Note that the Spanish GAR in Bilbao has been killed, so there should only be 7 Spanish GARs on the board.)

I take it the point was for Spain to take advantage in the case of a UK withdrawal, but it didn't account for reshuffling while an Alliance is in effect.

Nice find. I'm sure Borger will have a patch fairly quickly for this. My suggestion is to roll back your game to the turn before you move the UK garrison out and wait for the patch to come.

Hi,

I thought this was one of the political consequences we put into place to prevent players from emptying outside territories.

Historically Britain would not abandon Gibraltar allies or not. I would say leave it as it is.

If I know Spain is under attack I would bring in a heavier unit to port first then switch.

This is bug is fixed and sent to Paul and Ronnie. Peterjfrigate you can get the file too if you send me your email address. The one registrered on you didn't work and the mail bounced.
