Ideas for future add-ons and sequels to Panzer corp part 2

Post by deniswriter »

Hello! In my subsequent post, I was talking about add-ons to the game and various strategies to market them. As I stated before the video game is embracing technology that allows players to purchase and download new content or Add-ons in between full fledged sequels to the game. This results in 2 very good marketing strategies: 1. the add-on can use the same technology to develop the new content, thus making it very cost efficient for the developer. 2. It creates a market for those who are playing the game who would like additional campaigns and don't mind paying for them. Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 have proven that there is a huge demand for these add-ons in between full fledged sequels. The campaigns for add-ons and sequels need only be limited by the imagination. (The Pacific theatre of world war 2 would make a fine choice for Panzer corp 2.) Campaigns can also be developed using not only the major powers such as Russia, England, and the USA, but even some of the countries that suffered defeat early on such as Poland. Imagine a campaign where you start as the Polish forces in 1939, but that France actually joins you before it's too late. This is what can make this game truly special and give it logevity in the gaming world...the ability to rewrite history, or at least to try it! If you think about, the possibilities are endless. What if Russia and the USA cecide to go to war in 1945 because of a dispute over the partitioning of Europe? Once again, a prime example of a campaign that could be developed. As a player who has played this type of game for many years, I want Panzer corp to succeed. The product in beta appears to be outstanding in the few hours that i have played it. Marketing will mean everything to the success of this title. The key is to get a devoted following in enough numbers to become profitable and then to continue adding on in a manner to make the game both fun for the player with subsequent campaigns, and profitable for the developer. Word of mouth never hurts either. Tell your friends, post a video of a particularly well fought battle on Youtube. Let the fun begin!!
