"Optimised for Tegra 2"

Does this mean it requires Tegra 2, or that there are benefits to playing with a Tegra 2 device? I am getting a Samsung Galaxy S II, it is a dual core 1.2Ghz Android 2.3 phone, it does not have Tegra 2 but the chip (Samsung Exynos) is at least as fast - will this work?

I believe that Tegra 2 is required to play - it should be locked for anything other.

Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm disappointed to hear this, it seems like an odd decision to reduce your target market, unless nVidia pays well.

It's all about the performance of the TEGRA 2 chips. The other chips can't handle the game.

The Exynos is benchmarking in excess of Tegra 2 devices, but of course benchmarks don't tell the whole story. Can you shed some light on where the performance bottleneck is?

Sorry I have no idea - all I can do is pass on what our technical people say!

Can you please enable this game in Android Market for Estonia. I tried to buy it, but it says that it cannot be installed in my device's country.

Sorry you are having problems. For some reason we were not able to add those countries previously. They were blocked. They have since been added to us and we'll release ASAP. It will probably be the beginning of next week.

Well nothing personal dude but thats utter crap, your technical guys aren't telling the whole story. The Tegra2 chipset uses certain proprietary texture compression formats that technically speaking allow for a certain amount of 'lazy coding' so to speak. None of this would be a problem for the Mali 400 MP the SGS2 uses as mentioned it does beat the tegra 2 in benchmarking tests but nvidia are using this texture compression among other things to segregate the gaming market in order to make their GPU seem superior when it isnt, it makes no difference with many games for example Pinball HD, Samurai II Riptide are just 3 examples of games that run perfectly on the SGS2 running chainfire 3D app. So has your developer got a decent excuse for that or do i need to bore everyone with more technical detail????

Maybe its another example of kickbacks from Nvidia to make sure dev's can fill that stupid TegraZone thats costing them so much money, all this just to advertise SoC? But the user suffer just for buying an android handset that can handle 1080p video more efficiently. Any of you not convinced need to do some serious research and check out the examples of 1080p video on the Tegra (LG 2x) against the Mali (SGS2) or take a look at the various benchmark testing on gsmarena.

nVidia, once guilty of faking their own benchmarks, now striving for more Android fragmentation. F**king wonderful for us consumers.
