Hi..I have read the help menu, I have read the FOG wiki, I have read through posts on this site and I am no better off in determining the impact of generals on cohesion test.
If I read the help it says I get + 1 to my dice for being in the commanders range if he is field or troop and plus 2 if he is inspired. However there seems to be a school of thought that this does not apply to melee or impact combat as evidenced by the wiki and this site. Since these two sources often point out errors in the help menu then I am unclear about what is the actual rule here.
I would very much appreciate it if the developers could clarify the Cohesion test modifiers.
Leaders on Cohesion Tests - an answer from developers pls

Testing for any reason for BGs not in close combat, the dice modifiers apply if in command range. In close combat, the leader must be with or adjacent. Also, an additional +1 applies for being adjacent so an Inspired leader would add a total of +3 to the dice roll. This follows the TT rules closely and is the PC rules' intent. I recall the devs said it wasn't being implemented properly, but is now supposedly fixed.

and while we are on the subject regarding rallying troops that are routing the wiki says that as long as they the commander is in radius he gets a bonus for rallying troops. However the help menu says that only adjacent commanders count..there is no additional adjustment for being in the radius.
Deeter can you or anyone please clarify the rule here regarding rallying unsteady battle groups. Does being in the radius give you an extra point as well?
