The basho is called "Square Go" 2011. It's an old Scots invitation to have a fair fight!
It goes something along the lines of "Right you .... Square Go ..... ootside right noo!" followed in due course by "hauners!" a cry for assistance from your mates if all is not going well in the square go.
I will post the results by the 19th Timmy. Maybe even some AAR if I can remember.

Sorry for my tardiness, I've been on holiday.timmy1 wrote:Hunter, any news on the results? June results are almost ready to go to press and it would be nice to have this included.
Modesty almost forbids me posting the results but to spare blushes the winners podium was required to support the not inconsiderable weight of Hunter Hope in 1st place, John Muir in 2nd and Dave Burns in 3rd spot.
For my part I played John Conleys Transylvanians in the first round and pulled victory from the jaws of defeat having launched the French at Johns army almost wholly seemingly secure behind a line of fortifications across the centre flanked by two forests. Squeaky bum stuff.
Next up was Russell Simpson with his Williamites. Russell was wielding his freshly minted marshalls baton having scalped the much fancied (in the betting at least) John Munro first up. Russell didnt manage to get his 2 superior guards units with battalion guns nor his salvo unit into play and the French mugged the rest of the army in their absence.
My penultinmate game against John Muir was a humdinger with Johns better mounted wing handing their upstart descendants a lesson in l'audace - big win to John.
My final game was against gentleman Jim Copeland - a fellow club player. Jim bagged almost no terrain and with a shed load of highlanders was off to a a bit of a false start. With little option Jim sacrificed one of his flanks and marched forward to do battle in the centre. The lucky French outshot and outfought the poor Scots and in the end it was a bit of a bloody nose for poor old Montrose.
This big win at the final post allowed me to squeak past my nemesis John Muir for an improbable tounament win.
Thanks to all for the great spirit in which the basho was played.
