Are there plans for multiplayer testing during the beta. Not necessarily in the next build, but eventually, and before the game goes live.

Oh yea, and I mentioned this before the beta started:
Any chance to see multiplayer campaigns? Or is every single multiplayer battle going to be single stand-alone scenarios?

I might be able to add this, no promises though. While we are on the subject of multiplayer campaigns, let us discuss how exactly it should look. Shall you play all scenarios against the same opponent? Or choose a different opponents for each scen? What happens if your opponent disappears in the middle of a game and stops making moves - how will the campaign continue from there? Any thoughts are welcome.

All scenarios should be against a single opponent. I don't think a campaign like the stock PG campaign would work at all for multiplayer, among many reasons the vast equipment differences the German player faces against.
Multiplayer campaigns would be short, for obvious reasons. 3-6 scenarios strung together, where both players preserve their core from scenario to scenario.
If your opponent disappears mid game... well, what solution do you have for an opponent who disappears in the middle of a single scenario game? Can they rejoin the game after they drop or get disconnected? I would imagine multiplayer campaign would work the same way, with the addition of the transition between scenarios of a campaign would also be a 'save' point the players could stop and resume from during a separate session.

I imagine something like this:
Player A and Player B are playing a multiplayer campaign: Battle for Dnieper. Campaign lasts between 4-8 scenarios, length dependant which side wins what kind of victories.
Player A is the Germans, Player B the Russians.
Player A and B play through the first scenario. It ends as a victory for player A.
Both players upgrade and overstrength their cores.
Player A and B now play through the next scenario, 2G. (2G because the germans won scenario 1. If the russians won, it would be 2R)
Player B wins the second scenario.
Both players decide to quit here and play again tomorrow.

The next day, both players connect, and the game recognizes where they left off, during the intermission between scenario 2G and 3R.
Both players upgrade and overstrength their cores.

And so on and so forth, until the campaign runs it course.
At the end, both players are scored, depending on how many victories they won, and also units they lost/killed. The game selects a winner based on these stats, and the campaign is concluded.
