how many bg for an ally ?

during our tournament (in loudeac) we have a discussion :
some player say that an ally can only command four bg
as umpire we don't manage to find this rule in the rules
someone know that ?

An ally commander can have as many BGs as the ally list allows - which can be far more than 4 in many cases, although whether it is sensible to do so is a different question

The only restriction is that as a maximum of 3 BGs can flank march, if you want an ally to flank march he can only have 3 BGs or less.
