hi RBS, I'm waiting anxiously for this book (also for napoleonic rules), I have an Anglo-Dutch and a French NYW army ready to play, I'm waiting for the Imperial-Austrian army and I would buy same new miniatiures to integrate what I have.
Can I know what kind of troops are in the Austrian army list, is cavalry det. horse or what?
There are superior inf. or cavalry units?
Also my little (18mm) Eugenio von Savoy is waiting for

Up to 12 bases of superior foot, no superior horse.erricolaw wrote:hi RBS, I'm waiting anxiously for this book (also for napoleonic rules), I have an Anglo-Dutch and a French NYW army ready to play, I'm waiting for the Imperial-Austrian army and I would buy same new miniatiures to integrate what I have.

The Imperial heavy horse are mainly Armoured Average Determined Horse, which can be fielded either as Carbine, Melee Pistol or (in western front armies only) as Impact Pistol, Melee Pistol.
Irregular Miniatures do a generic 15mm Western European range which seems to cover the Austrians.
Have you seen this link that gives regimental colours & facings ?

We have not specified which units the Superiors represent, so you can go with what feels best to you.erricolaw wrote:I'm buyng same new figs for the austrian army, If you can answear me, are the superior inf. the converged grenadiers, danish, brandeburg-prussia or what?

The infantry start off as 2 pike, 4 shot (only before 1675), then become 1 pike, 5 shot (only from 1675), then some 6 shot (only from 1691).
No bayonets for the Imperial regiments. However, the optional troops list includes lots of Germans with bayonets (and no pikes) from 1689 - but none of these are Superior.
