purchased sas and it crashes the game

just bought 1.3.3 version fog, and it works great,added storms of arrows,it works great,soon as i load sas with 1.4o it gets me to the select battle,when i do 5 secs later it crashes with a 'send error to microsoft window'
i have reloaded the games at least 5 times with no luck.

can anyone help please...thanks....
