Caesar’s Challenge 2011: A Field of Glory Ancients Competition

The Monday Knights will be hosting Caesar's Challenge for the first time later this month. It will be continuing an ancient themed tradititon that has long been held in Melbourne, Australia. The details are as follows:

When:
Saturday 19th and Saturday 26th March 2011 with registration at 9:00am.

Where:
Auburn Bowls Club
2B Munro Street
Hawthorn East
Victoria 3123
AUSTRALIA

Armies:
Players can choose any 15mm army of up to 800 points from the 'Immortal Fire', 'Rise of Rome', 'Legions Triumphant' and 'Lost Scrolls' (using the armies listed under in the ‘Seven Hills’, ‘Rise of Rome’ & ‘Legions Triumphant’ tournament categories) Field of Glory companion books. Only one army list is to be provided, including all options relevant to the composition of the force eg special campaigns. Your army must conform to an option that is available from 700BC to 500AD. All battle groups must be fully defined by type, armour, quality, training & capabilities and points shown. Allied battle groups must be clearly identified. The Order of March must also be supplied with the army list.

Rounds:
There will be two rounds on each day, with the first game starting at 9.30am. Each round will be three hours long. When time is called, the players finish the phase they are playing in. This means all movement stops, shooting and close combat is resolved and final cohesion tests are completed.

Terrain:
Terrain will be set by players as per the rules. Players should bring their own terrain, but club terrain will be made available.

Scoring:
The normal 25-0 Field of Glory scoring system will be used.

Prizes:
Prizes will be awarded to the Overall First, Second and Third.

Entry Fee:
$25 if playing both days. $15 for single day entry.

Entry:
Army lists should be sent to the organiser by 4th March. Entry payable on the day.
