new to fog - quick question

early/late russians... whats the main difference in gameplay? strenghts/weaknesses, pros/cons?

I have the early list at hand, so:
Strengths: lots of dependable solid foot. The noble cavalry will not race off to its own destruction, so can be depended upon to protect flanks. A good amount of light horse.
Weaknesses: It will not kill anything quickly and will be prone to draws in my opinion. Lots of slow ploddy foot and none shock cavalry. Unless you take the Polish and German knights. They are expensive, but if you are using the army at a competition you need them to kill things quickly and make sure your Cav and LH get through into the enemy rear to exploit.

I'll have a look at the Later list erm, later.
