Cannot log onto Multiplayer after v1.5 update

Cannot log onto Multiplayer after v1.5 update

After updating to v1.5 I tried to log onto Multiplayer and it hangs at "Please wait... Launching Client". I have to bring up the Windows Task Manager to get out of FoG. My internet connection is working fine. Any ideas? Windows 7 64bit.

The Windows Application Log recorded this error:

Same operating system. No problem for me, everything it's working fine after update.

My guess is the firewall - if the EXE(s) have changed you will need to reauthorise them

I tried turning off the firewall temporarily, but no dice.

I had a backup of the Field of Glory folder, so I deleted the original and copied the backup into the Slitherine folder and ran the updater again. So far all is working as it should be. :D
