Friday night in Usk

Post by hammy »

Martin and I should be getting to Usk between 8 and 9 on Friday night (I hope), is anyone else there on the Friday night and would they be interested in meeting up for the odd pre-tournament drinkies.

Sounds like a plan, I knew they were good for more than playing games and taking photographs :)

Stephen, Phil and I will be driving up around lunch-time. We are planning on stopping off at a castle on the way, but should be in town in time for drinks and a meal.

I recommend Goodrich (http://www.castlewales.com/goodrich.html) and Raglan (http://www.castlewales.com/raglan.html), which are both close to the A40/A449. (The dual carriageway continuation of the M50 from Ross to Usk).

White Castle (http://www.castlewales.com/white.html) is also good (and usually free since there is seldom anyone in the ticket booth to collect entrance fees) if you don't mind a slight detour.
