Poles Armored Cossacks or Other Cossacks?

To support the Hussars in the Clash of Empires Polish list am I better off using Armored Cossacks or Other Cossacks?

I am thinking that if I run the Armored Cossacks I would need to run them in a single line so they can evade and that would most likely result in a traffic jam. Therefore I am leaning toward Other Cossack Light Horse with Carbine.

Is it worthwhile to take the Cossack Light Horse as Swordsmen?

I presume you are referring to the PLC list. I take a mix. You certainly want at least a couple of BG of LH. Take them with Carbine if you can as the firearm shooting does not get a +2 on the DR. However be careful as the range is not long. I don't think you will want the LH to fight so save the points (unless you find your self with 8 spare). At least 1 BG of Armoured Cossacks is worth having as rear support for the Hussars if nothing else.

Oops, Yes I am talking about the PLC list.

If I take one BG as Armored Cossacks that leaves two BGs of Cossack LH at least one of which I will need to shoot up the opposing mounted, so what do I use to protect the other flank?

Now I see. In that case either

drop one LH and make it Armoured Cossasks or Lithuanians and take the Tatar LH or

a BG of German / Livonion Mounted Mercs - if you want cheap take the Unarmoured Horse. If you want some thing that fights take the Livonians (its what I take).

There is another option which is a Cossack Ally but I don't like that.

The really cheesey option is the baggage handlers as Hussars deployed to cover the flank. Provided you have not already maxed out on Hussars very few people are going to take the risk of chasing after Hussars in the open...
