I want to start with a friend FOG:R. And there we want to use Later Germans and Later French, but we do not know what flags we should use. Does someone nows a good resource which flags booth sides used?

I *think* that in the later Thirty Years War the French old regiments had the flags they were to use right up until the time of the revolution. That would be Picardie, Piemonte, Navarre, Champagne, and Normandie. That would give you a good start. You can find the patterns on www.warflag.com.
