Dailami with Bow

I am curious about the support shooters, specifically with the Dailami. They cost the same regardless of having bow or not, and I am not sure in the digital version if there is a disadvantage to having the bow in hand to hand.

In the Tabletop game, a Dailami BG can be 8 stands without bot (all 8 being the close fighting Dailami, thus 4 bases wide) while with bow they can be as many as 9, 6 bases of close fighters and 3 of LF bow, thus 3 bases wide. Therefore, they have more punch in an 8 base BG than in a 9 base BG with bow.

Is there any reflection of that in the digital game? Or are you basically just an idiot if you don't get them with bow?
