New Player! Where do I get downloads and latest patches?

Hey chaps,

I'm a newbie to the game and have just bought and downloaded from th eSlitherine website (today). Can I get advice on where to get the latest patches? I'm really looking forward to getting in to this game as I'm an avid wargamer (lots of board game experience from a few years back.... .

Scroll down through the "Downloads" section. You will find them all there, chronologically.

I had to do the same recently when my computer died a horrible viral death.

There was a mini-patch for the original game. I found if I installed that I couldn't get GS to run. So I just didn't bother installing that. I think GS 106 was the latest in the Slitherine files.

But at least it was just: install main game, install GS 106. When I had to redo all the FoG PC games and their updates....oiiiiii!!

If you're talking about the basic game, or what some call the vanilla game, if you version shown after you start up the game (bottom right) is 1.12 then you have the latest version for that game.

If you're talking about the GS expansion then you can find the description for and the links to download the installer for v1.06 here:

Also, there is a patch for GSv1.06, which takes you to GSv1.07. See: viewtopic.php?t=18505
