GaiusMarius scenarios
Dear all,
please find in attachment the link to all the scenarios designed by me so far. All of them have been extensively played in MP (some scenarios have been designed in May 2010) so I'm reasonably sure that playability should be satisfactory.
http://tinyurl.com/gaiusmariusfog
After the access, if you double click on the FOG scenarios directory you'll find various subdirectories in order to better identify scenarios by historical periods/topics and, of course, my main areas of interest.
- Great battles of Milan: aim of this directory is to (slowly) collect all the significant battles in which the state of Milan has been involved in 1300-1500. There are for the moment three Scenarios in it, namely Parabiago, Arbedo and Fornovo.
-Condotta Wars: here I'll collect crucial battles of the Condottieri period in Italy: for the moment the Directory contains the battle of Castagnaro.
-Normans in Italy: the battles which led Normans to rule supreme in South Italy and Sicily. Contains the Battle of Civitate.
-Crusades: here you'll find battles in Holy Land. Contains the battle of Ascalon and the Directory year 1097 AD with four battles: Nicaea, Dorylaeum, Antioch I and Albara
-100YW: in this directory I'll collect battles from the French campaigns during the 100YW (aim is recreate do every battle, time allowing). Contains the battle of Morlaix and La Roche Derrien.
Hope you'll appreciate and have fun with them: I'm open to answer every question regarding design/sources/historical background and to gladly welcome/consider any feedback regarding playability.
Lastly, let me say a very big thanks to all the guys who helped me in playtesting.
Cheers

Good point.
designed for/with SOA: Arbedo, Parabiago, Fornovo, Morlaix, Castagnaro.
designed for/with SaS: Ascalon, Civitate.
However, I don't have IF but I'm able to play user created battles with specific Icons from IF itself so even if you don't have the aformentioned Modules please give a try I believe that you'll be able to play all of them.
Hoping to have answered your questions.
Cheers

Thanks for posting these , just downloaded tham all:)
Quick question: In the Castagnarno scenario , Hawkwood has a couple of dismounted MaA's whose graphics I cant seem to find. i opened the scenario in the editor and follwed the links per the BG and it states those graphics are in the Burgundian mounted folder but they arnt in mine????? Did you have to manually link the game to these graphics or is there maybe something wrong with my game?

Awsome, thanks for that!Brigz wrote:Mouser,
I just did an experiment with the scenario editor and was able to access the dismounted Italian Knights image in the Bugundian mounted folder. You just have to type "-dismounted" at the end of the graphic title in the properties field and it will display the BG as dismounted.
Well done scenarios
I had the privilege of play testing these scenarios and they are well researched and balanced. Lot's of fun playing them. I am glad they are now available for download so that others may enjoy them.

Just to confirm that the Dismounted Italian knights units used in Castagnaro and Arbedo are not available in the editor but present (and used in DAG as alternative troop type) in the game images. I simply found the game directory where they're and then manually imputed in the editor the Directory and the Unit name found there. There are also other cases like Frankish dismounted knights (I'm not able to find them in the editor) which need the same approach in order to have them in user created scenarios.

I have not been able to access these scenarios. I registered with Windows Live and I have a Skydrive facility now but I have no idea what to do next. I have copied that address (all of it?) into a new window but it says "We can't show you that page - server has a problem". What should I try next? Thanks.
Also just got this message . . .
"This folder might not be shared with you
It appears that you don’t have permission to access FOG Scenarios. You might be trying to access it with a different account or might need to ask the folder’s owner for permission to access it."

Pete,
just checked the directory authorizations and are ok (meaning that the scenario directories are shared with everybody who has a link).
please try to copy the link (it's easier to start from the right side of the link itself: please include also the NOT underlined part meaning you have to copy all what is written on the line containing the link), then open a new page on your browser and paste what you've copied on the address bar. You don't need any registration on skydrive or to be linked on it when you do the aforementioned operation.
Agopologising for this: if you still experience problems please PM your mail address I'll use another solution to have you in.
cheers

A short url generated with www.tinyurl.com may work better for the forum:
http://tinyurl.com/32e84ez
You can even customize the link:

Thanks for the scenarios!

Yes, that's what I thought I was doing but I am a bit of a duffer at times with these sort of things.GaiusMarius wrote:Pete,
