How do I save the game so I can play it later?

Hit ESC. You only need to manually save the game if you want to save part way through a battle. Otherwise all progress is saved automatically.

How do I manually save the game in the middle of a scenario!

Press the Esc key and type a name in the box, then click the save button.
You can call me junk - and type that with one hand.
