PBEM questions

Post by Michael T »

Hi
Where can I find out some info on the rules of engagement for this site? i.e rankings/ladder, what happens if your opponent disappears, turn rates, bad behaviour etc. I can't seem to find anything anywhere.
Thanks
Michael

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. I know there is a house-rules thread at the Matrix site, is this the kind of thing you mean?

Currently there are no competitive ladders running. We do have an automated tournament system rolling out, and that handles the kind of things you are talking about in terms of required turn rates and time to finish a game. For friendly (ha!) games we go through and clean out dead games (where one or both of the players haven't moved in 30 days or more) periodically.

Hope that answers your queries.

Cheers

Pip

Ok I get it now. No organized ladders/rankings exist. I think Matrix are going to set something up down the track perhaps. I was under the impression that this site already had that kind of thing going for other games and I was curious about the protocols that may have been in existance. Thanks anyway.
