Perhaps it was that retreat that made his mind up to go into the toy business, far less dangerous to get shot by a cork than a real musket. I would have to say that Santa was a much younger man in that picture, the beard is not as long or white yet.

Clearly there is a opening for a blockbuster novel of Santa's life over the centuries, including the gritty details of his involvement in the Hundred Years War, the Thirty Years War, and the Twelve Days of Christmas.

Moderator - that last post is off topic, it does not belong here, unless it is robot in a Bohemian army (robot being the Czech word for labour)...

Discussions such as these bring the rest of this thread into disrepute and really belongs in the FoG:SF forum... :)
